Fake it Till You Make It. Savvy Advice or Success Saboteur? It Depends!

If you’re an authenticity advocate or heart-centered woman in business like me you probably cringe at the sound of this phrase.

The idea of faking anything sounds terrible (and inauthentic) but I’ve discovered that the core intention of this advice has a lot of merit.

So, don’t cross your arms here I promise there’s wisdom in this. One of my gifts as a mentor is helping women to expand possibilities – including looking at things from more than one perspective. (It’s a whole new world!)

If I Should Have a Daughter by Sarah Kay

Today my daughter Cara told me that I’m her best friend. And considering we just celebrated her 19th birthday, I’d say that’s quite the thing.

There have been moments where I’ve felt like a complete screw up as a parent. Yes, I have. And to know that despite the imperfection she’s amazing and our relationship rocks… well, what an epic relief (giggle).

In addition to the Gilmore Girls (always been “our thing”) this video reminds me of her … the possibilities of her… the wisest soul I’ve ever met (even though she doesn’t see it in herself yet. I’m holding the candle – always).
